Take Me 2 D Cirque!!!

It becoming one of those nights again... I can't fall asleep and listening to Cirque Du Soleil *Alegria* thought might help me ease to la la land.... sigh...

I remembers the first time I attended a cirque peformance. I was piss when I missed their first tent show in my hometown. The ticket was expensive and I was broke, so when I found out they be performing with a different team show I was determined to watch it. Yeah it cost me an arm and legs but it was worth it... every single bucks!!

I remembers buying the tickets... 2 infact. I wanted Ice Tea to watch it with me. As this will be my first cirque show I wanted to share it with him, at the same time introduced him to something new. I told him its a circus show with a difference.... yeah.. brodda thinking he gonna be seeing jumbo swinging his trunk from left to right to the rythm of the drumbeat....lol.

I was watching his expression when the light dim and the music starts blaring. I was so excited like a little kid, eyes wide open, smiling from ear to ear as if I'm gonna meet bozo the clown himself. I was lost in the moment, in that colorful tent, with its performers in their costumes and make up, the acrobatic acts, their carefully choreograph dance and gymnastic movements. I was a captivated audience. I get all giggly when the clown walk towards my seating area... I swear I was 10 years old...lol. I never clapped so hard that my palm hurt.

Ice Tea enjoyed the show and we bought the cd for that night performance, I gave Ice the ticket butt and program because I want him to remembers the *magical* evening that we shared... our first cirque du soleil. Needless to say, the evening end with ...uhh.. mmm... our own acrobatic performance... *blush blush*.

My 2nd cirque was last May 06, with Mr High Yella. We were planning to spend our birthday week in Vegas. He asked what I wanted to do, I asked if he has seen cirque performance before. As usual, brother clueless...lol. When I found out how much the ticket cost, I told him to forget about it... but he insisted. Heck, I guess money was not an issue with him. I wanted to watch cirque *O*, but the ticket was sold out. I know they have several difference performance showing around Vegas and one for *adult*... not sure if that performance done in pure nakedness but I guess it was more of an erotic performance....lol. We never did finds out...lol

So there we were at MGM, I'm all excited to watch Cirque Du Soleil *KA*, looking around wondering if this performance going to be better than my first. Even the ushers were all dress up in costumes. I have a feeling, half way during the performance, I think Mr High Yella fell asleep... hmmm...

Well, the show was definitely different from Alegria. The stage, the music, costumes, the acrobatic performance, I enjoyed every minute of it since I DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR IT...lmao. I'm not sure if he did and I felt a twinge of guilt, since he paid quite an amount for it.

I shared my cirque experienced with 2 men of which both I was in love with at different time and moment in my life. Ice Tea (I was passionately in lust and love with.... yeah he makes my toe curl....lmao) and Mr High Yella (the man who last, I gave my heart to). With Ice Tea, it was so much fun, passionate than it turn totally erotic towards the end. With Mr High Yella, I enjoyed it but not like the way I did before. I don't see the curiosity on his face before the show started or the excitement when the show ends. I'm not expecting him to be jumping up and down, but ... oh well...sigh.. maybe he just doing it to please me, which at times could not be a good thing.

Watching cirque makes me get in touch with my inner child. Sometimes we need to do that, just be a child and remembers the carefree moment that we have than. I loves it. I love the fact I can just let my imagination runs with the characters and music. I wish I can watch every single shows cuz, it makes me forget my problems and takes me to another journey, an escape from reality.

I was watching CSI Vegas the other day, and they were solving a homicide that taken place during the cirque *KA* performance. I was so excited to see it on tv, memory of that night show and my trip to Vegas came rushing back.... and him...

Yeah, I do miss him...
